Successful volunteer event spearheaded by CMU Representatives

It couldn't get better than this. It was a perfect weather for painting windows, enthusiastic volunteers, and giving back to our veterans currently residing at Hawley Veterans Services Center (HVSC). This grand window overlooking the whole property is just one of the windows that were chipped, prepped, and painted white. "This was one of the biggest task on my to-do list and now it's finally done. We are so grateful for the volunteers who made this happen. This window is the first thing people will see and now it looks new again." says the Program Manager of HVSC. Ms. Lauren Anderson, Development and Communications Assistant of Volunteers of America, extends her appreciation for the joint effort in this volunteer event. "Thank you for your interest in giving your time to help paint our Hawley Veterans Center today. We appreciate your work, and we are so grateful to have you on our volunteer team. Today could not have been done without your dedication and hard work. Thank you, it is because of people like you that we have been around, doing the work we do for the last 124 years.”

Here's a short video taken during the volunteer event.
